Winter 2019 Must Haves

The first day of Winter was less than a month ago but for most on the East Coast your probably confused to whether its Winter or Fall. Unfortunately for me the West Coast is getting cool and rainy weather. I'm so ready for the Spring and Summer I could just scream. But in normal form and fashion we wanted to equip you with 2019's Winter Must-Haves.

1. Puffer Scarf - Not your average scarf but it's totally a statement piece for just about any weather print.

2. Teddy Coat - The Teddy Coat is guarantees warmth all winter long and is so soft cuddly and adds a cozy touch to all looks.

3. Combat Boots - Soldier girl tell em! You need at least one pair in your wardrobe. Focus on finding army green, black or beige. Maybe even a pop of color like a yellow or white.

4. Beret -Berets are my favorite accessory, I have all colors. Though mostly wool, they are perfect all year long.

5. Classic Wool Jacket -The Classic Wool jacket is a closet staple and at this point if you don't already have one you should snag a neutral colored one. If you do have one already focus on getting a pop of color.

6. Over-the-Knee - I only have two pair in my wardrobe. I definitely wish I had more. My suggestions would be snakeskin print, black or maybe grey so that you can wear with just about anything.

Fun Fact About Me: I'm terrified of snakes doesn't matter if they are real or fake. I like my reptiles on bags and shoes, ok. The current trend is all things snakeskin! What's the TREND? Short Suits

Lebron isn't the only one wearing short suits this spring/summer. If you don't know what I'm talking about check out ESPN. Menswear has been trending for the past few years and this time its shorts suits. This is the "it" spring trend that everyone can participate in no matter what. What's The TREND? Fur Tote

Happy New Year Frugal Shopaholics! It's very seldom that we do an accessory What's The Trend, today is your lucky day. I have been holding out on this trend for about a month or so but the faux fur tote is definitely a must-have accessory right now. Not only should you have a nice faux fur on your back this winter you need a fur tote on your arm.

Styling Tip: This trend looks great paired with a patent leather or leather pants but can ultimately be worn with any look to add a twist of edginess.

What's The TREND? Shearling

As winter approaches and it's getting colder it is time to pull out our heavier jackets and coats. Shearling coats are especially popular choice this season. It's one of the top coats trends so far this year. Tons of designers from Proenza Schouler to Yeezy featured shearling coats in their fall/winter 2018 collection. You find a shearling in any style or color you like. you like. My biggest fashion regret was not buying the green shearling I saw earlier in the year from Boohoo, but I did snag a classic black shearling (pictured in red below) during Black Friday at Asos. What's The TREND? Plaid

Plaid is just one of those trends that won't fade. That's perfectly fine because each cycle of a trend is always different. Worn by different people with different styles of dress. The most popular plaid looks that I have seen lately have been long vest dresses, oversized blazers and paper bag waist pants.

What's The TREND? Bra Tops

Crop tops out, bras tops in! Lingerie pieces like bras, bralettes, and bodysuits have been spotted throughout many designer collections the past few seasons. Bra tops specifically have been a top trend this spring and summer. Designers like Victoria Beckham, Tory Burch, Alexander Wang, and Oscar de la Renta have all featured bra tops in their SS 2017 runways shows. 

This trend is so easy to wear. Back in college, I was good for wearing a bra as a top for a night on the town. However, this isn't a trend just for the night. Pair your favorite bra top with a kimono, evening skirts, cropped jeans, or suit. Wear this trend in the fall too by wearing it under a sheer top or over your tee or blouse.

What's The TREND? Denim Skirts

I know what you're thinking... Denim skirts. Yes, they are back and you should have few in your wardrobe. It's not like they really left they kind of just took a little 15-minute break and now they're back in full effect. Short, long, A-line or bodycon... you can't go wrong with a denim skirt.
