Goodbye 2013 & Hello 2014

Today is the last day of 2013. We've been at this blogging thing for about 9 months now and its been GREAT year nonetheless! We spent 3 hours on Sunday working on goals and new projects for our blog. We're excited for what 2014 has to bring. Frugal Shopaholics has grown far more than we expected in this short time and we are SO grateful for all the views, retweets, likes, reposts, pins and more. Celeb Style: Hot or Not?

You've may have seen the photos of Rihanna and Teyana Taylor floating in playsuits floating around on Instagram. I personally love the look. Looks so comfortable yet effortless.

Not sure how much or if they even paid for their playsuits but for my frugs I found some very similar ones that are affordable. They can be worn with Timberland boots, UGGs, and even sneakers. I would wear mine when traveling and shopping or even just chilling at home but it's your prerogative! Make this look yours! What do you think? Hot or Not?!

Black Friday & Cyber Monday Haul

You may have seen on our Instagram that I did a little shopping for Black Friday and Cyber Monday. My shopping actually started on early Thursday morning, Target had put all the in-store only sales up online. I got almost everything from my wishlist except my UGGs (they weren't on sale) and I returned the Frye boots I ordered, but check out some of the goodies I purchased.

Target: Nikon L320 original $229.99 purchased for $99

New York & Co: I bought 3 pair of pants for $90 and I got a free watch (Can you say re-gift..lol) 

Old Navy: The entire store was 50% off. I picked up 2 blanket coats (as seen in the winter coat post), 6 pair of jeans, a skirt, a few sweaters, and a bunch of other shirts and tees all for a grand total of $200.

Aeropostale: I picked up this puffer jacket for $14, I almost got every color because it was so cheap. I also got some skinny sweats for $9 (not pictured)

GoJane: Lace- up Booties original $47.30. I purchased but I got both pair for $49

Belk: Betsey Johnson Nxt Skull Sneaker orginal $99.00 purchased for $29

Heels.com: I ordered the Steven Madden Georga shoes original $129.99. They were 40% off. 

ASOS: I ordered 3 midi dresses and a pair of joggers. I only spent about $70. There was a 30% off promo code for Cyber Monday.

 

H&M: Got these 2 bags for $7 each, I already have the brown one. I'll probably give one of these away because I just ordered a black and red bag before I got these and forgot all about them.

So I said our next look for less would be a clothing item, but I always seem to come across shoes. I saw this look for less on ZooShoo before I even knew who the designer of the actual shoe was. Honestly, I like the look a like better. What do you think?

What's the TREND? Thigh High Boots

They are predicting that we will have a really cold winter this year and for my sake I hope it is short lived. But to survive such weather it's important to keep those legs warm. Just because its cold doesn't mean that fashion ends for a couple months. You can still show your sense of style through the winter months with hats, scarves, gloves and last but not least BOOTS...and my favorite this season are Thigh-high boots. 

Perfect with a pair of tights and shorts, or even just a skirt or jeans. They can be worn casually or out to the club its your prerogative! Below are some of my favorite thigh high boots this season!

Denim, Denim, Denim: Get the Look

What kind of pants does Super Mario wear? Denim Denim Denim LOL (Say it like the theme music. If you don't get it, perhaps this will help you out)

Anyway, you may have seen this Oversized  Hooded Denim Trench Coat on many online boutiques (Instagram boutiques as I like to call them) and even Etsy prices ranging from $60 to $90. I'm not trying to knock anyone's hustle, but Derria and I both have this coat and please believe we didn't pay over $35. As frugal shopaholics we are always looking for a deal, this coat is cute but it's not worth $60 - 90. If you have been eyeing this coat "get the look" over at Amazon or eBay for half the price.
