After continuously putting off this post here it is. I have been wanting to do a part 2 for the wardrobe essentials since I left off a few things. And because they are mainly spring and summer items now is a perfect time. If you missed part 1 check it out here. The point of the original post was splurging a little on wardrobe essentials but finding them for the low. Again, the key to purchasing great quality pieces while still being frugal is shopping out of season, outlet stores and major sales.
Shift/Sheath Dress
A simple well-fitted dress is the best because it doesn't need much to look good. When building a wardrobe of essentials, consider a shift or sheath dress that can easily appropriate for many different occasions. You can find designer dresses at T.J. Maxx, Nordstrom Rack, Saks Off Fifth, or Last Call.
Evening Bag
Everyone needs an evening bag something small but big enough to hold your essentials. I purchased a small chain bag from Kate Spade during a secret sale for 75% off. It's a good quality bag but I didn't break the bank.
Splurge on a pair of designer shades. We all buy trendy cheap sunglasses season after season but our wardrobe deserves something nice. Go to the Nordstrom Rack in the rich part of town and you will hit the jackpot of discounted designer shades.
Ballet Flats
Heeled Sandal
Just like a classic pump every woman needs simple heeled sandal in her closet doesn't matter if it's calfskin or patent, you need this in your wardrobe. Stuart Weitzman is famous for their nudist sandal. It is the perfect shoe. I've seen them both at Nordstrom Rack, Saks Off Fifth and online at 6pm for $100-200. If you see them on sale buy them. The regular price is around $400.
