Frugal Spotlight: T.J. Maxx & Marshall's

T.J. Maxx & Marshall's are two of my favorite stores. Low prices and stylish clothing is what they are known for and that's another reason why it was my first job as soon as I turned sixteen. I spent my the majority of my checks right back in the store but it was always worth it.

I'm sure all my Frugs know of or shop at either store but for those who haven't, T.J. Maxx and Marshall's are American department stores that are leading off-price family apparel and home fashion retailers. They purchase post season and close-out stock in order to offer fashionable, high-quality "designer" items at prices 20-60 percent less than those of department stores.

You can buy just about anything there! From underwear to iPhone accessories to area rugs. The prices are always low and the clearance area could very well have you walking out the store with a bag full of frugal finds. Both stores get shipments at least three times a week, so there is always new merchandise on the floor. If you see something you like its best you either purchase that same day or utilize layaway if its available in your local T.J. Maxx or Marshall's store, because you can bet your bottom dollar it wont be there if you put it down.

I visit T.J. Maxx at least once a week to see what new arrivals they have. If you've never been to either store check them out! Keep an open mind, it may not be a familiar store you shop in but those are the gold mines.
