Best Places To Shop For Black Friday

Black Friday is not what it used to be. So many stores offer the same ole deals year after year. How many TVs can one buy?? You can even get the same savings throughout the year. With  Cyber Monday and online shopping in general taking over stores are not getting as much traffic as before. But there a few stores that are worth taking a trip to. Don't even bother with Walmart and Target all their sales go up at 12:01am on Thanksgiving. So do your shopping online before you head to dinner with your friends and family. If you do plan to get out there on Black Friday here are the places to get the best deals.  For clothes and beauty wait for the online sales or until Cyber Monday, you will save more.

Electronic Stores - Best Buy is always the best for electronics and appliances. Nobody can beat their deals, hence why people camp outside the stores. Stores open on Thursday 5pm. Take a look at the full BF ad here.

Department Stores - Macy's, Belk, JCPenny, and Kohls are all good places to shop at during BF.  Save the high-end department stores for Boxing Day. According to WalletHub, these stores have the largest amount of discounts during BF. They are great for home items and getting a start on your Christmas shopping. I plan on stocking up on new towels and sheets at Macy's. Take a look at the full BF ads on their website to all the great deals.

Outlet Stores- Head to your nearest outlet mall and go wild. Discounts on top of discounts, that's my type of party.

Come back tomorrow and we will have all the Black Friday sales posted. Click here to sign up for Ebates and get cash back and coupons when you shop!

Tracee Ellis Ross x JCPenny Review

The Tracee Ellis Ross x JcPenny collaboration release has come and gone and I can’t lie I was left feeling a little incomplete as far as the whole line was concerned.

Since JcPenny hadn’t released a lookbook for this line I really didn’t know what to expect I thought there would be way more pieces like maybe one or two graphic tees that could be dressed up or down. A nice touch would’ve even been a heel or flat within the line to make it come full circle.

My honest review of the line is that the pieces were of good quality. Didn’t feel cheaply made at all. My favorite pieces would have to be the full tuxedo and the full-length striped dress. These were also pieces I purchased for my own wardrobe because I knew that I would get a lot of use out of them for sure.

It was originally my plan to order multiple sizes online and wait for them to be delivered to my house but I really wanted to try everything thing on at once to feel the fabrics and quality before making a purchase.

Like always I made it to the store early before the rush and was able to get a small and medium in everything to try on. To my surprise, the line runs big so I was able to fit a small in just about everything.

The sequin dress which was everyone’s favorite didn’t look good on my body shape at all. Kind of made me look like someone draped sequin fabric on me and walked away. Sad but true but that doesn’t take away from it still being a really cute dress!

I only ended up buying the items below and they were all a size small and fit comfortably.

If you haven’t checked the line out already online or at your local JcPenny do it now! They have restocked most of the items online so hurry, this line is only available for a limited time!

Ashley Nell Tipton for Boutique+

While out shopping for my client in JcPenney, I came across the Ashley Nell Tipton Line for Boutique+,  a plus size clothing line within JcPenney. 24 year old Ashley Nell Tipton is a Project Runway winner from San Diego, CA. She learned how to sew at an early age and she even created other collections in high school and college prior to her Project Runway win.

This line is very vibrant, bold and edgy. Giving the plus size female the freedom to show off her chic and edgy style. From faux leather pleated skirts to sequin bombers, Ashley's line is for the stylish full figured woman. I fell in love with quite a few of the pieces from this line and I would definitely style my clients with this line. See a few below and don't forget to check out the full collection!

There are times when I want my look to be more coordinated than others and this was one of those times. I had been holding on to this jacket for almost two months and its already too hot to wear in the NC heat but it worked out for a 5 am shoot! I really love Adidas and the majority of their printed clothing. It always seems to end up in my wardrobe. Check out some of shoot below!

To Dye For

 http://static.becomegorgeous.com/img/arts/2014/6/how-to-wear-tie-dye/embedded_tie_dye_style.jpg
Tie Dye is the absolute biggest trend of the season, in my opinion! Whether it's a dress, romper, leggings or a scarf you'll see tie dye on men, women and children. I recently purchased a couple items myself from JCPenny's including a romper and a bodycon midi dress, both were under $25!

Also if you are hip to the Tie Dye trend and want something a little different check out my Tie Dye Unitards, you can choose the colors you want! See a customer photo below.

Spring 2016 Must Haves Under $50

Yesterday marked the first day of spring and it was only right for us to let you know what you need to have in your spring wardrobe this year. It is time to shed those layers and bring out the bright colors and sandals! Off the shoulder tops are in and I've seen them in just about every color and print perfect for that warmer spring weather. We've seen the lace-up blouses for the last two springs and we aren't upset about it! Denim overalls are definitely an up-to-date trend with assorted patches. I just recently did a DIY patch project on my own pair of overalls (I'll do a post about it later). Pollazzo pants are perfect to dress up or down for work or for a casual day out and are very comfortable. Colored pants are here each and every spring, snag a pair! Spring means day parties and a bodycon dress is always perfect. Strappy and tie up heels are a must for the spring and to complete your outfit add a cross body bag.

Frugal Workouts: Activewear Under $25

Did you start your new year off right with resolution to work out more and stay in shape? Yes, Of course we all did. But the key to working out and staying in shape is wearing active wear that is not only comfortable but cute and frugal all at the same time. It was important for me to talk share because I have committed to working out at least 4-5 times a week and i saw myself struggling to find workout clothes in my wardrobe but I've always had the misconception that workout clothes can be a little on the expensive side. To my surprise after doing some shopping at my favorite stores I was able to snag items like sports bras and yoga pants for under $10! Below are some frugal activewear items that you can add to your wardrobe.

Frugal Spotlight: Joe Fresh

I was first introduced to the Joe Fresh brand in the year of 2012 in JCPenney. I frequented JCPenney a lot because of the great prices they had adopted after having a new CFO. Joe Fresh is a Canadian brand that is sold in JCPenney, but they also are an online retailer. I really liked the fit and the style of the clothes, the fabric is breathable and doesn't feel or seem cheap in quality. I've actually bought a few pieces that are apart of my "favs" in my wardrobe. Including a pair of distressed denim boyfriend jeans. If I could describe it, I would say it gives me a Target meets T.J.Maxx feel. The price point of Joe Fresh is between $10-$100, not too bad in my book plus JCPenney always has coupons and sales. Check them out yourself!
