Danielle Bernstein x Macy's Collection

If you aren't familiar with Danielle Bernstein, there's a good chance you are familiar with We Wore What. Danielle is a huge style influencer and is also the Founder and Designer of We Wore What. I personally have been following Danielle on Instagram for a few years and have always enjoyed the fashion she shares with her audience. While randomly scrolling through Facebook last night I saw an ad that included some really cute pieces. What a trap! I clicked it and to my surprise it was Danielle's collaboration with Macy's.

The collection was released on March 5, and has already sold out of some pieces. It is size inclusive and the size range is 00-24. Huge plus because we all want to be fly no matter what size we wear. The entire collection is under $100 and the color palette is pretty neutral. I am most excited about the structured items. She has a ton of suit options from pinstripe to plaid, you can also grab the shorts or the pants. I am always here for a Power Suit. Super excited to share the line with you all. Check out my favorite pieces and the full collection below!

The Look for Less: Gucci Belt Bag

Fanny packs are in and designer fanny packs are the trend. The most popular of them all is the Gucci GG Marmont matelassé belt bag. Literally, everybody and they mama has this bag. Even if you aren't into fashion like that you still have probably seen this bag. With a starting price of $980, this isn't in everyone's price range. But of course, we found a look for less. One day during my lunch break I stopped in the Forever 21 and found the perfect dupe. This look for less is so popular that it keeps selling out. Check it out and let us know what you think.

Last Minute Holiday Gifts Under $50

Last minute shoppers this post is for you. I have not gone Christmas shopping yet and don't plan it until probably next week. Last year I went 2 days before Christmas as was able to get everything that I needed to and I only made 2-3 stops if that. The key to last-minute shopping is planning, just because it last minute doesn't mean it has to be thoughtless. Think about what the person you are buying for likes, their hobby, etc. Don't just be out here buying things just to say you got someone a gift. Be thoughtful this Christmas season and make someone's day. If you are like me and haven't started shopping use this as a guide for your siblings, friends, family, or office gift exchange.

Best Places To Shop For Black Friday

Black Friday is not what it used to be. So many stores offer the same ole deals year after year. How many TVs can one buy?? You can even get the same savings throughout the year. With  Cyber Monday and online shopping in general taking over stores are not getting as much traffic as before. But there a few stores that are worth taking a trip to. Don't even bother with Walmart and Target all their sales go up at 12:01am on Thanksgiving. So do your shopping online before you head to dinner with your friends and family. If you do plan to get out there on Black Friday here are the places to get the best deals.  For clothes and beauty wait for the online sales or until Cyber Monday, you will save more.

Electronic Stores - Best Buy is always the best for electronics and appliances. Nobody can beat their deals, hence why people camp outside the stores. Stores open on Thursday 5pm. Take a look at the full BF ad here.

Department Stores - Macy's, Belk, JCPenny, and Kohls are all good places to shop at during BF.  Save the high-end department stores for Boxing Day. According to WalletHub, these stores have the largest amount of discounts during BF. They are great for home items and getting a start on your Christmas shopping. I plan on stocking up on new towels and sheets at Macy's. Take a look at the full BF ads on their website to all the great deals.

Outlet Stores- Head to your nearest outlet mall and go wild. Discounts on top of discounts, that's my type of party.

Come back tomorrow and we will have all the Black Friday sales posted. Click here to sign up for Ebates and get cash back and coupons when you shop!

Macy's Savings Guide from Dealspotr

Macy’s has been a beloved and successful store for generations because of its great selection of high-quality items and popular brands at good prices. And while even the most novice shopper can score good deals at Macy’s, the store rewards savvy shoppers with lots of opportunities to save a ton of money. Because the Dealspotr team wants to help you save as much as you can, we put together these top tips to save the most money at Macy’s.

Sign up for Plenti
The new Plenti Rewards Program is a great way to get rewards and discounts across multiple platforms. Run by American Express, the free program offers rewards for shopping at Macy’s, plus stores including Rite Aid, Exxon, Hulu, and Enterprise Rent-a-Car in a similar manner to a grocery store loyalty card. Plus, there’s no obligation, fees, or credit consequences.

For every $10 spent on qualifying Macy’s purchases, you’ll earn 1 Plenti point, and you’ll get 2 points for every $10 Macy’s beauty and fragrance purchase. Every 100 Plenti points equals $1 and can be redeemed after you reach 200 points. Plenti also occasionally offers special promotions, including earning 200 points the first time you spend $100 at once at Macy’s. What sets Plenti apart is that points can be combined from multiple stores. For instance, every gallon of fuel at Exxon equals 1 Plenti point, so things add up quickly. To maximize your rewards value, save your points for a year and redeem them at once for a more expensive item, which should be free or sold to you at a great discount. Plenti points expire after two years, so don’t let them sit around for too long.

Take Advantage of Coupons and Promo Codes
Although Macy’s offers a high number of coupons and promo codes, most codes come with a lengthy list of exclusions, even for “store-wide” coupons. Frequently on the exclusion list are luxury brand items and items from many of the store’s departments. Pay close attention to the fine print and the expiration date, as some coupons are only available to Macy’s credit card holders and many codes expire quickly.

Even with the restrictions, Macy’s coupons and promo codes can lead to huge savings when you put the time in. Because Macy’s releases coupons almost every week and rotates through the items that are included, you can get the items you want for a great price if you are patient enough. We post Macy’s promo codes on Dealspotr.com as soon as they are released, which often occurs on Fridays. Macy’s also frequently includes fliers and coupons in local newspapers or in the mail towards the end of the week.

Shop Clearance Sales
Macy’s sells a huge number of items, which means store space is a hot commodity. As a result, the store is frequently trying to cycle through items and announces huge clearance sales to clear out inventory. Macy’s almost always has a clearance sale going on in at least one of its departments, and the sales can produce some amazing deals on top items.

As with clearance sales at other stores, the deepest discounts are on items that are heading out of season, such as swimwear towards the end of the summer or coats and boots around February and March. Even towels with spring details or in pastel colors often go on clearance as the weather starts to cool.

Shop Macys.com
Just for signing up for a free profile on Macys.com, you’ll get a coupon for 15% off your next purchase. Creating a profile only takes a few minutes and requires your name, address, birthday, and gender. An easy way to get multiple 15% off coupons is to set up profiles for friends and family who aren’t currently on Macys.com. Simply use their email address and have them send you the coupon once they receive it.

Download the Macy’s App
Macy’s sets itself apart from other department stores with its app that is useful to customers shopping on a budget. Our favorite section is “My Wallet”, which lets you save promo codes and coupons and then automatically applies them to your online or in-store purchases, so you’ll never forget to use a coupon. You can also use the app to see the store’s current promotions and sales and sign up for push notifications to be the first to know about a new sale or coupon. Macy’s charges shipping fees on most orders, but you can save by picking up online orders at your local Macy’s.

Use social media
Like many other stores, Macy’s takes advantage of social media to share information of new sales and promotions. Check its Facebook page for news on free gifts with purchase, as well as in-store events, giveaways, and charitable donation opportunities. Social media is also one of the quickest ways to reach Macy’s customer service—simply send the company a Facebook message or tweet instead of having to sort through an automated phone system and wait on hold.

Paris Is Always A Good Idea

I don't know if it was because I was moving here, but I had been seeing an inordinate amount of Paris themed items in stores before I moved.  I wanted clothes (mainly tops) with Paris written on them but I didn't want to look like a tourist so I decided not to lol.  See some cool Paris things I've come across while doing some online browsing.  In the words of Audrey Hepburn, " Paris is always a good idea".

What's The TREND? Dolphin Hem

Designers high and low have been making dolphin hem tops, dresses, skirts, and shorts for a while, but lately they have been all over. Dolphin hem items are curved on the sides or front; they mimic dolphin running short which people have been wearing for ages.  I'm completely obsessed with this trend. Here are some of my favorite dolphin hem items all under $50!

Wardrobe Essentials Worth the Splurge

I shared a post a few weeks ago from Penny Pincher Fashion about smart shopping, and she touched on items that are"worth the splurge". When buying wardrobe essentials, I believe you should buy quality pieces that will last for a long time but may cost more than you normally would spend. Think of them as investment pieces. The key to purchasing great quality pieces while still being frugal is shopping out of season, outlet stores and major sales (i.e., friends and family, semi-annual and half-yearly sales).  Below are some essentials I believe every lady should have and where to buy them for the low!

White Shirt
Don't overlook the classic white shirt as an investment piece. Try this Classic Non-Iron Shirt by Ralph Lauren for $69 available at Bloomingdales, Macy's, Lord &Taylor or any other major department store. The best to get this item is during a friends and family sale, items are usually 25% off.

Quality Denim

Invest in some quality jeans that FIT! All jeans are not created equal, so find a pair that suits your body type. Try J Brand they have a wide array of styles, cuts and rises to choose from. Uniqlo has some quality inexpensive jeans. They are my current favs and the fit is great

Leather Jacket

A leather jacket is a wardrobe essential because of its versatility. It can be worn with just about anything and it will look great. Now is the perfect time to buy one. Try searching eBay or Amazon for a designer jacket at a low price.

Trench Coat
Collection icon trench
A true classic, it's the kind of coat you'll wear season after season. It serves as a raincoat or a heavy jacket, and it's suitable for work or play. Try this classic trench from Banana Republic or J. Crew! Also, check out their factory stores.

Oversized Watch
Everybody needs a gold watch, something classic that will never go out of style. While there are a bunch to choose from, find one that best suits you and your budget. While I would like a Rolex, I only have Michael Kors, Marc Jacobs or Nixon money. Shop Nordstrom's Anniversary Sale for good discounts. If you don't want to wait until then try Nordstrom Rack or T.J. Maxx

Leather Handbag
Find a handbag that you can pull out of your closet 5- 10 years from now and it will still be in style. Again stay within your budget. Try your local T.J. Maxx, I've seen everything from Gucci to Givenchy in there.

Classic Pump

A simple, classic pump works for everything!  Every woman needs a black and nude pump in her closet doesn't matter if it's calfskin or patent, you need this in your wardrobe. Shop at BlueFly, Nordstrom Rack, Saks Off Fifth, Barneys Warehouse, or Last Call by Neiman Marcus for designer pumps that aren't super expensive.

Riding Boots
I love riding boots, I think it is perfect for the fall and winter. A good pair will last you a lifetime. Invest in some Frye boots and you won't be sorry! If ordering them online be sure to try them on in-store first.  You'll find the best price at 6pm or Zappos.
