What's The TREND? Denim Skirts

I know what you're thinking... Denim skirts. Yes, they are back and you should have few in your wardrobe. It's not like they really left they kind of just took a little 15-minute break and now they're back in full effect. Short, long, A-line or bodycon... you can't go wrong with a denim skirt.

Laid back and cozy. I walk everywhere and I'm on my feet all day at work so I'm usually in sneakers, loose jeans, and a tee.

What are your favorite places to shop?

 Before working as a buyer at Beacon's Closet, a designer and vintage thrift store,  Zara and Urban Outfitters were my usual places. But now just about all of my clothes come from my job. I find the best stuff and I always wonder why some of our sellers trade in their items! During my second week working there, I purchased  a vintage Celine bag (from when Michael Kors was their designer) and a vintage Louis Vuitton bucket bag.

What does being a “Frugal Shopaholic” mean to you? 
Knowing how to finesse your way around the belief that style means spending a lot of money!

What is a frugal shopaholic tip or trick that can share with our readers? 
Everything goes on sale so wait to buy something if you don't need to wear it ASAP. Fall merchandise gets put on the floor in August-September but is always marked down in December.

What's the TREND? Mules

Mules are making a comeback! I always thought of mules as an old lady shoe; something my mom would wear back in the day. However, designers have made them modern and dare I say cute. Mules come in trillions of shapes and forms, so finding a great pair for you will not be hard. Finding an inexpensive pair won't be hard either.  I've found some pairs that I think our frugs will enjoy.

Say it With A Clutch

Most recently the only purses I've had the urge to buy or carry are clutches because they are limit all the junk I can carry and they are just more convenient with work and life's ins and outs. But I had my eye on a clutch by Zara from a couple seasons ago that I never bought but hoped they'd restocked but unfortunately that didn't happen. 

It wasn't surprising to me that other companies would come out with their versions. As you know frugal shopaholics live for a "look for less". But I found a few that I like that are on the frugal end!

The Look for Less: Zara

 

Here's another handbag look for less. You've probably seen this bag already it's been out for at least years two. It's made by Zara and its not really that expensive. I purchased a look alike from eBay about a month ago, actually I bought two in black and burgundy. The eBay version is smaller than the Zara one but for the price its still worth it. I'll be selling the black one on our Poshmark Closet.

Frugal Spotlight: Zara

My first time going into a Zara store or hearing about one was about 4 years ago in Miami, FL right off the South Beach strip. It was very unique looking not like a Forever 21 or American Apparel but it felt more like a boutique and the prices weren't as high as I expected. Zara is one of the largest international fashion companies.

    

Leather jogging pants were the ‘it’ bottoms of last season. This season the leather jogging shorts are the go to, they can be dressed up or worn casually. Beyonce has been seen out several times wearing different styles of leather jogger shorts. Below are two affordable pairs. I got mine from eBay and they are super comfy.

The Look for Less: Saint Laurent
