The Look for Less: Chanel Slingback

Ten points for Kaitlyn Pan with another bomb dupe! This time it's the classic Chanel beige and black slingback, Now these shoes aren't new at all, in fact, they are older than probably everyone reading this blog. But they continue to be a staple in their collections; its one of the most popular Chanel shoes of all time. I've always thought this shoe was just for the older ladies but the young girls are loving them too. I assume so many people love them because the colors go with all skin tone.

Now, there are so many dupes and inspired looks made after this shoe but I've found the best one on Amazon for under $100. See them for yourself and check it out below!

Frugal Finds: FashionPhile

This post may a little different than the frugal finds we usually post. We stick to stores that are accessible for the everyday woman. But as we've said many times you can be a frugal shopaholic on any budget. Yes, those of you who love luxury items can be frugal shopaholics too. Some people love the luxury sales experience that comes with buying a brand new bag. However, buying gently used or pre-loved bags is the perfect way to shop brands that rarely or never go on sale. You can buy a previously owned bag in great condition for a fraction of the retail price.

Since consignment shops are very popular now. It's important to shop at a trusted store that guarantees authenticity. I recently discovered Fashionphile from our girl Jenee. They are a reputable online fashion resale website where consumers can buy and sell women’s luxury designer pre-loved handbags, accessories and jewelry. Fashionphile guarantee's the authenticity of every item we sell or 100% of your money back. The Look for Less: Chanel Backpack

Backpacks are trendy again. I remember wearing them as a kid. The new and improved designer versions are very chic and cool with a feminine touch to the traditional backpack. Chanel is just one of the many designers who has adopted the trend.  Chanel being Chanel put a classic and timeless spin on the it. If I had to pick a backpack to get it would be this one. A lot of celebs and popular bloggers have been rocking this bag and now you can too for a fraction of the price.

The Look For Less: Chanel

Me and Christen aren't strangers to designer things but there are times where we want the look but don't want to break the bank. I absolutely loved the Chanel Chain Slides that came out last year or so but I knew for sure I didn't want to pay over $800 for them. A year later, Kendal & Kylie have a pair for $100 + and that to me was still too much because I have so many sandals that it doesn't make sense to spend that kind of money on something that I may not get to wear as much.

Just yesterday I was in Marshall's shopping with my mom and came across the same style of chain slide sandals but they were Carlos By Carlos Santana and were only $30! Talk about savings. Below I have provided the link for the Kendall & Kylie version and the Carlos Santana version they are a spitting image of each other but I like the CS version because as far as weight is concerned they are lighter and more comfortable than K&K. So much money saved with this look for less.

What's The TREND? Fanny Packs

Who would've thought that Fanny packs would make their way back around the fashion trend cycle? I sure did! Even the top designers like Chanel have chic fanny packs but I think of this as one of the most frugal trends that you could incorporate in your wardrobe this spring/summer. I could only afford and fit one fanny pack in my wardrobe that I purchased from Forever 21 that is a Chanel fanny pack look for less. Talk about excited because it was nowhere near a Chanel price.

The thing about the fanny pack trend this season that I love is that it is meant to be dressed up or down. The Fanny Pack doesn't have to be just for a dressed down relaxed look you could wear it to a local event paired with heels for example. And as you can see in the picture above, the new wave is to wear if draped across you instead of around your waist. But the stylist in me would do both. I have provided some frugal fanny pack options below. If you have incorporated this trend in your wardrobe let us know. You can also purchase a look for less Chanel fanny pack on Derria's Closet.

The Look for Less: Chanel

The Look for Less: Chanel
Chanel's fall/winter 2013 collection contained these to die for chained boots, I've been lusting over them ever since I saw them. Last month June Ambrose released a very similar version in her HSN collection, I wanted them so bad but they came out after I left for Paris. So if you've been looking for a cheaper version of these Chanel boots look no further.

The Look for Less: Chanel

"A girl should be two things: classy and fabulous."- Coco Chanel. The Chanel Quilted Flap Bag is a classic! The handbag was first issued in 1955 and it's as timeless and iconic as it was back in the 50s. According to Bagsnob.com, the Chanel 2.55 is one of the two designer bags stylish women of the world should know about; the other is the Hermès Birkin. Both bags are on my things to buy before I die list, but until I get my coins together I will covet this bag from afar. Check out the inspired bag I found for a fraction of the price below.

What's the TREND? Lucite Clutch

We can see clearly now that the trend is Lucite clutches. They took the fashion world by storm early spring and have been around ever since. Charlotte Olympia, Zara and Chanel were some of my favorite brands of Lucite clutches. The perfect accessory for any look you may be going for event you may be attending.  Below are photos of my favorites:
